Our Optometrists & Opticians

The Vision Shoppe is pleased to welcome Edlira Alushi, O.D. Dr. Alushi is a Danbury native and has practiced in Danbury for over 10 years. She graduated from the New England College of Optometry and completed a primary care residency through the Southern California College of Optometry. She is a Board certified Optometrist. Dr. Alushi provides Primary Eye Care, Comprehensive Eye Exams, and Contact Lens Exams

Steven Hussain, L.O.

Steven Hussain is a Licensed Optician specializing in the fitting and dispensing of prescription eyewear and contact lenses. He has worked in the optical industry since 2006 and graduated from Middlesex Community College in 2009 with a degree in Ophthalmic Design and Dispensing. He has worked in various commercial and private settings, and prides himself in providing the best care and service to each individual patient. With the experience acquired over the years, attention to detail and in depth knowledge of frame and lens technology he is able to find a solution for even the most complex of cases. Steven is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Daniel Sequeira L.O.

Daniel Sequeira is a licensed optician from the Danbury area. He has over 10 years' experience working in the optical field since 2005. Daniel has worked in private and commercial locations including opening The Vision Shoppe in 2013. He is 2009 graduate of Middlesex Community College where he majored in Ophthalmic Design and Dispensing. He became a licensed optician in 2009. Along with his optical license he is ABO and NCLE certified. These achievements along with his years of experience have helped him specialize in the manufacturing and inspecting of eyeglasses. Danny is bilingual in Portuguese and English.

Alyssa Talarico ABOC, NCLEC

Alyssa Talarico is an apprentice optician in the state of Connecticut. She is currently pursuing her degree in Opticianry at Penn Foster Career School. She began her work in the optical field in 2013, where she was an eyewear consultant in a commercial shop setting. Alyssa is responsible for taking measurements and assisting customers in eyewear selection and purchases. She will be completing her Opticianry degree and sitting for her boards exams in May 2016.
